3月に大阪南港を出発して4ヶ月と2週間が経ちました。
8月17日からKLで始まるスクーリング前の最後の撮影期間10日間となりました。
隆徳、創太、初起、彩子の4人は今朝北京へ向かいました。
男子3人はオリンピック目前の北京およびその近郊で撮影、
彩子ははるか満州里への単独行。
Four months and two weeks have passed since the students left Osaka South Port.
The last ten days have begun for them to take pictures before schooling
in KL, Malaysia.
Takanori, Sota, Hatsuki and Ayako left for Beijing,
where the Olympic Games will be held soon.
The three boys will take pictures in Beijing and its surround.
Ayako will go far away to Manzhouli alone.

早朝4時半ヴィエンチャンのホテル・ラオを出発、
午前11時昆明の茶花賓館チェックイン。
昆明の最高気温25度、涼しさを感じます。
We left Hotel Lao at 4:30 early in the morning and checked into Camellia Hotel
in Kunming at 11 am safe and sound. Temperature in Kunming is 18/25℃.
The weather is fine and it’s not hot.

一日の始まりはメコン河畔の散策から。旨かったもち米。
そして夕方５時のミーティング。全員十分に休養を取りました。
明日早朝６時30分発のラオ航空で昆明に戻ります。

We had a meeting at a hotel lobby at 5 pm.
Every student took a good rest in Vientiane.

とうがらしという意味のマクペト・レストランは、元ストリート・チルドレンだった
若者たちが運営する モダン・ラオ料理を提供するレストランです。
ちょっと辛めですが美味でした。
収益は、恵まれない子供たちを支援するために使われています。
Makphet, a restaurant serving modern Lao food, is run
by former street youth in training. All proceeds from the restaurant
go to supporting vulnerable children in Vientaine.

今日もラオスの夜が静かに明けました
ヴィエンチャンからサーバイディーボー おはよう＆こんにちは
滔滔と流れるメコン川、ヴィエンチャンはそのメコン川がカーブを
描いたところに栄える町、アジアで一番大きな村とも言われています。
向こう岸はタイ。
Morning dawned quietly in Laos. Sa-baai-dii baw.
Many people said Vientiane has been referred to
as Asia’s largest village,located on a curve of the Mekong River,
which rolls on and shares its borders with Thailand.
チベット高原にその源を発するメコン川は、雲南、ラオス、タイ、
カンボジアを通り、ベトナムのデルタ地帯を形成して東シナ海に
流れ込んでいます。
これまでに4ヶ月をかけて、そのすべての国々を学生たちは見てきました。
From its source on the Tibetan Plateau, the Mekong River passes through Yunnan,
then into Laos and Thailand, dropping by Cambodia before entering
the South China Sea through its delta in Vietnam.
The students have seen all the countries during these four months.

Taka went to a town, north of Vientiane, early in the morning.
I received an e-mail from him at 5pm that he was safe and sound.

昨日昆明市内でバスの爆破事件がありました。
我々は全員無事ですのでご安心下さい。
It was happening that two buses were blown at downtown in Kunming yesterday.
Set your mind at rest. We are all in safety.
今日10時45分昆明発ラオ航空に搭乗、定刻の12時（現地時間）に
無事ヴィエンチャンに到着しました。ヴィエンチャンと東京の時差は2時間です。
We flew Lao Airlines and arrived in Vientiane at 12:00 local time.
The time difference between Vientaine and Tokyo is two hours.

広州から昆明へ移動しました。飛行時間1時間50分。中国の広さを感じました。
We came from Guangzhou to Kunming. It took us one hour and 50 min. by air.
China is a big country indeed.
茶花賓館に全員の学生が次々に中国各地からチェックイン。一週間ぶりに顔を合わせました。
茶花はCamelliaです。
All the students checked into Camellia Hotel in safety. We met all together after an interval of one week.

今日は黄甫軍校紀念館を訪ねました
孫文によって創設され、蒋介石が初代校長、周恩来が政治部長が勤めた陸軍学校です。
I visited the Museum of Military Academy founded by Sun Yat-sen.
Chinag Kai-shek served as a principal and Zhou Enlai as a director of politics at this academy.

It took me almost one hour by bus from Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall.

朝6時過ぎ最初に空港に向かったのが創太、北京へ
First, Sota is leaving for Beijing.

Sakino and Satomi for Hohhot after breakfast.
彩子と美奈は3日後の水曜に深センへ、千夏は広州に残って撮影。
Ayako and Mina is going to Shenzhen this Wednesday
and Chinatsu stays in Guangzhou.
学生たちの次の集合地は雲南省・昆明、7月20日日曜。
All the students will check into a hotel in Kunming on July 20.

パナウティ写真展組が昨日午前中カトマンズに戻り、
8名全員が学校指定泊Hotel Manangに再集合した。
夕方ミーティングで次の訪問国、中国とラオスでの
日程について再確認。今夜11時の中国南方航空便で
カトマンズを出発、明朝5時45分広州に到着です。
Four students came back to Kathmandu from Panauti yesterday
and all the students checked into the Hotel Manang.
We confirmed the schedule in next countries, China and Laos,
each other at the meeting.
We'll leave Kathmandu at 23:00 tonight and arrive in Guangzhou at 5:45
tomorrow morning. We will fly China Southern Airlines.

ネパール最大のストゥーパは、カトマンズの東にあります。
チベット仏教徒の巡礼の地であり、チベット文化の中心地でもあります。
明治時代、僧侶河口慧海は、チベットへの単独行の途中
ここボーダナートに立ち寄り、当地の僧侶の助けを得ました。
その僧侶のお孫さんが、私たちがお会いしたクマール・ラマさんです。
昨年、引率者五十嵐先生がこのクマールさんと当地で出会いました。
そのときの模様と慧海について、五十嵐先生が昨年のブログに
素敵な文章で詳しく書かれています。是非ご一読下さい。
This is the biggest stupa in Nepal. All Tibetan Buddhists come on pilgrimage
to this place. Boudanath is the center of the Tibetan culture,too.
Buddhist Kawaguchi Ekai, on the way to Tibet, stopped by Boudanath
under the protection of Buddha Lama in the Meiji era.
The grandson of this Buddha Lama is Mr. Kumar Lama whom we met.
Mr. Igarashi, the escort teacher, visited here with the students last year
and wrote how he met with Mr.Kumar and an interesting story about Ekai.

買って読んでいます。
I bought the same “ Three years in Tibet” by Ekai as Mr. Igarashi bought last year.
慧海は、昨日ご紹介したポカラも訪れ、その美しさを絶賛しています。
Ekai visited Pokhara and wrote:

In all my travels in the Himalayas I saw no scenery so enchanting
as that which enraptured me at Pokhara.

昨日は七夕、当地カトマンズは曇りで星空を見ることが出来ませんでした。
東京、ロンドン、インドのレーではどうだったでしょうか？
It was “ TANABATA” yesterday. Stars were not visible unfortunately,
because it was cloudy here in Kathmandu.
Could you see the Milky Way in Tokyo, London and Leh in India?
今日は、ポカラをご紹介します。ポカラは、カトマンズの西200km、
標高827mにある避暑地です。町の西には豊かに水をたたえるフェワ湖があります。
ネパールはフェワ湖、日本はビワ湖、似ている、同じと土地の若者は笑っていました。
ポカラは、ヒマラヤ山脈の入り口でもあります。
静かな湖畔、荘厳なヒマラヤの山々に魅せられる町です。
今回は曇りの日ばかりでした。シーズンである秋に是非再訪したいと思います。
I’d like to introduce you a city of Pokhara. Pokhara, an idyllic city,
is located 200km west of Kathmandu and is situated at an altitude of 827m
above the sea level. There is the lake “Fewa” in the west of the city.
A young Nepali said with smile, “Fewa-ko in Nepal, Biwa-ko in Japan,
Nepal and Japan are similar, same,,,” Referred to as the Lake City,
and gateway to the mountain. Pokhara has the serenity of the lakes
and the awe-inspiring Himalayas. There were cloudy days this time.
I would like to visit Pokhara again in her season, say, in October.

場所は、パナウティの高校。パナウティは、カトマンズの
東南32kmのところにある人口2万4千人の静かな町。
初日、大勢の元気な子供たちで賑わった。

滞在しているホテル近くにあるFuji Hotelを訪ねたとき、
玄関先に紫陽花が咲いているのが目にとまりました。
カトマンズにも紫陽花がさいているとは嬉しいですね。
今年鎌倉の紫陽花はいかがでしょうか。
